Show Producer, Project Manager, Technical Director
Fairy Fairways is a large-scale, interactive miniature golf experience developed for the USC Games Expo and delivered as a public-facing attraction welcoming over 2,000 guests. Produced over the course of an academic year, the project was executed with a $40,000 production budget and a 20+ person multidisciplinary team, requiring sustained coordination across creative, technical, and operational disciplines.
Each hole was designed as a self-contained interactive environment, incorporating a unique narrative challenge in which guests were required to repair or reassemble a sabotaged element before being able to play. These interactions were supported by localized audio zones, integrated lighting cues, scenic mechanisms, and gameplay logic, creating a layered guest experience that blended physical interaction with environmental storytelling.
Serving as Show Producer, Project Manager, and Technical Director, I oversaw schedules, budgets, team communication, and system integration across scenic construction, lighting, audio/visual, gameplay, and operations. My responsibilities included coordinating fabrication and installation workflows, delivering and integrating the lighting package, supporting regionalized audio implementation, and ensuring all show elements functioned cohesively for live public operation.
In addition to overseeing the full production lifecycle - from early concept development through installation, testing, and public operation- I remained deeply hands-on throughout the process. I supervised all shop work hours with a strong emphasis on safety and accountability, trained team members in safety protocols, scenic construction, lighting and sound systems, scheduling workflows, and financial tracking, and frequently stepped into technical and operational roles as needed. This project demanded constant problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability, and I served as the connective tissue between teams to ensure the project was delivered on time, under budget, and successfully operated at scale during the Expo.
